INGREDIENTS:
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 packet Zesty Italian Dressing
- 1 8oz. cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup (or 1 homemade recipe below)
Homemade cream of chicken soup (equivalent of 2 cans)
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (I use a little less)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- In a saucepan, combine chicken broth and 1/2 cup of the milk and bring to a low boil.
- While broth is heating, whisk 1 cup milk with flour and seasonings.
- Once broth is starting to boil, pour the milk/seasoning mixture in and whisk frequently until thickened about 5-1o minutes.
DIRECTIONS:
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 hours. If sauce is too thick, add milk.
- Serve over pasta.
