INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 packet Zesty Italian Dressing
  • 1 8oz. cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup (or 1 homemade recipe below)

Homemade cream of chicken soup (equivalent of 2 cans)

  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (I use a little less)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp parsley
  1. In a saucepan, combine chicken broth and 1/2 cup of the milk and bring to a low boil.
  2. While broth is heating, whisk 1 cup milk with flour and seasonings.
  3. Once broth is starting to boil, pour the milk/seasoning mixture in and whisk frequently until thickened about 5-1o minutes.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 hours. If sauce is too thick, add milk.
  2. Serve over pasta.
