INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (or use sugar or even coconut sugar)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a pot over the stove and slowly warm to medium heat.
  2. Stir often as it’s warming so that the bottom doesn’t burn.
  3. Once it’s hot and the sugar (if using) is melted and no longer course, then it’s done. Serve immediately.

Homemade Whipped Cream

  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  1. Pour cream into a bowl and beat with an electric mixer on high for several minutes until stiff peaks form. Then add the powdered sugar and vanilla then gently mix those in. Enjoy!
