
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (or use sugar or even coconut sugar)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
- Combine all ingredients in a pot over the stove and slowly warm to medium heat.
- Stir often as it’s warming so that the bottom doesn’t burn.
- Once it’s hot and the sugar (if using) is melted and no longer course, then it’s done. Serve immediately.
Homemade Whipped Cream
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Pour cream into a bowl and beat with an electric mixer on high for several minutes until stiff peaks form. Then add the powdered sugar and vanilla then gently mix those in. Enjoy!
